master_bedroom_picTHE APARTMENT

  • Sleeps 2 to 5 people

  • 3rd and 4th floor without lift
  • Double bed (1.60m), double sofabed, single sofa bed (x2)

On entering the building from the street you pass through the courtyard and climb up the staircase to the third floor to enter the apartment. You enter the hallway and on your right is the bedroom. This room is equipped with a queen sized double bed. This bedroom opens through double windows on to a courtyard below, meaning that it is very quiet and the ability for plenty of fresh air if you want to leave the windows wide open. This is my favourite bedroom – it’s like sleeping in the countryside it is so quiet! Off the bedroom is a bathroom which has a full bath, as well as a separate shower with multi-nozzles!

The living space is quite spacious and its features are the lovely beamed ceilings and tiled floors, as well as the magnificent view over the Eglise (Church) St Severin.

The kitchen is modern and is fully integrated with the latest appliances; dishwasher, oven, washing machine/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, and toaster. There is a double window which opens off the kitchen and looks down on to a courtyard – through this window you get morning sun. This kitchen opens over a counter benchtop into the lounge. The porcelain and utensils used in the kitchen are of good quality, with “Royal Limoges” porcelain being used predominantly.

placeholder_picThe lounge is attractive with an original beamed ceiling and tiled floor. The lounge is furnished with a quality settee which folds out into a comfortable queen sized bed. There are two Louis XVI style bergère armchairs, and the dining table with drop-sides is positioned at the window overlooking the best view in Paris! There is also an attractive 18th century armoire, which is ideal for guests sleeping upstairs to store their clothes in during their stay. The lounge is in fact an L shape, and wraps around to the kitchen. In this part of the lounge there is a single sofa bed (which itself has a roll away single bed).

On the bookcase to the side of the fire place is the hi-fi system (CD, Radio, and USB connection). There is also a flat screen TV here which operates off the internet offering many channels and several English language channels. The apartment has its own WIFI wireless internet zone for computers, but you will need your own computer. The telephone offers free calling to any European countries.

placeholder_picThe apartment makes a perfect home for a couple, however it easily accommodates another person or couple. The extra couple or single person is comfortably catered for in the lounge (on either the double fold-out or the single sofa bed), and with the lounge and bedrooms being on different levels and with a separate WC, both sleeping areas are very separate and independent from each other.

In the winter central heating is provided, which is charged for separately.

If you find that our apartment isn’t just what you were after (size, location etc) please look at other apartments that we look after in Paris at www.france.co.nz.
